Filed under: Uncategorized — frederickbutler @ 1:37 pm

Last week, acclaimed author and former adviser to Yasser Arafat, Mark Perry joined CNIF chairman and host Ambassador Robert V. Keeley on CNI: Jerusalem Calling. Perry joined us to discuss his article in Foreign Policy Magazine on a January 16th meeting between a team of senior military officers from the U.S. Central Command (responsible for overseeing American security interests in the Middle East), at the Pentagon to brief Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Michael Mullen on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

  1. i believe mark said adm. mullem was surprised to hear of gen. perraeus’ opinion that the israeli occupation was having an adverse effect on our troops safety in afhanistan and iraq………i hope adm. mullen is sitting down when gen. petraeus breaks the news to him, that he believes that there may be gambling going on at ”rick’s cafe”….. carl scala

  2. It does seem as if something may be changing, however slowly, in Washington when it comes to policy towards Israel and the Palestinians. Rumors, for instance, are spreading in the media that the Obama administration is threatening to take Middle East peace negotiations out of the hands of the Israelis (and Palestinians) and put them in the hands of an “international peace conference,” should there be no breakthrough in peace talks by the fall. This would represent something new. But perhaps the most striking sign of possible change has hardly been noticed. Washington is beginning to speak openly about the Israeli nuclear arsenal, estimated at up to 200 weapons, a potential banquet of civilizational destruction.

  3. cognratulations to amb. peck and lt. col. shaw for the great “cni jeruselem calling” of may 6th. there wasn’t a dull moment throughout the entire show… i would like to see a transcript of that show distributed to our president, sec. of state, vice president, and even the first lady… regarding us americans being kept in the dark because our media tells us only what they want us to hear and see, on a recent don imus radio program he nonchalantly commented that every week he gets a print out the people he can’t talk about… rupert merdock is allowed to buy the wall st. journal, paying a price that the selling family could not refuse, even though they had no intention of selling the paper… what would motivate a person to pay a rediculous price for an asset?… he stated that he’s going to be a hands-off owner…what reporter with 3 kids and a mortgage to pay off is not going to be influenced by the power of his boss? recently abe foxman said “people are angry.americans do not want peace shoved down the throat of the israelis.” i by accident of birth, happen to be one american who does want peace shoved down the throats of israelis…where has not shoving it down their throats gotten us? i could understand the israelis not wanting peace shoved down their throats, while they are dealing the cards and stealing land every minute of every day…the iraqi war, one of the many bi-products of the occupation, was an un-metigated disaster brought on by the neo con merchants….now, because it is obvious to the whole world that it was a tragic blunder, they are trying to morph it into a nation building democracy, in order to justify their horrific blunder… it’s like seeing a father walking through a neighborhood carnvial, with one arm holding up a big stuffed doll that he won for his happy little daughter…only a handful of months later, when the neighbors see the furniture being thrown out in the street by the marshalls, do they realize that the father lost a year’s salary just to win the stuffed doll…rabbi goldstein, a south african zionist puts the bull on judge goldstone because of the goldstone report….making it appear that goldstone is the bad guy, and goldstein is the good guy…carl scala
